TAG Heuer is a luxury Swiss watchmaker is known for its sports watches and chronographs.

The company was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer and patented his first chrongraph in 1882. The oscillating pinion patented in 1887 is still used by major watchmakers for mechanical chronographs. In 1914, Heuer produced the first wrist chronograph and followed by the first 'stopwatch' accuRate to 1/100th of a second in 1916.

In 1985, TAG Heuer was formed when TAG (Techniques d'Avant Garde), manufacturers of high-tech items such as ceramic turbochargers for Formula One cars, acquired Heuer.
